Anthony C. Lewis Associates (ACLA) are a long-established and much respected architectural practice in Trinidad and Tobago. Initially established in Barbados, in 1945, the practice moved to Trinidad and Tobago in 1950, it's Church of the Assumption pioneering a form of Caribbean architecture influenced by a Trinidadian vernacular, rather than European and American forms. Amongst the major works, as the practice developed and increased in size, are the Eric Williams Financial Complex, Port of Spain (1978) and the Halls of Justice, Port of Spain (1981). In 2000 the practice merged and took the name ACLA:Works (today ACLA), celebrating in 2025 the 80th anniversary of its founding.
