DTA Lantern Slide Library. Slide taken from an unidentified publication, showing a photograph of the Buddhist Temple in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The temple was established by Sri Lankans after they came to work in Dar es Salaam in 1915. Its construction was finished in 1927, making the temple the oldest Buddhist temple and meditation centre on the continent of Africa.
